- Q4 guide: MAUs 818M, subs 316M, revenue €5.2B, GM 33.8%, op income €820M (same 6-K).
- +11.10% Oct 22 despite a TRAI-recorded EPS surprise of −12.7% — the market traded subs/margin/guide. Beta60 −0.49 (TRAI): trades against the tech tape. Long-momentum candidate; indicated −0.97% at 8:53 ET.
- 2026-10-23:
- The Q4 revenue guide of €5.2B is slightly below the €5.24B Bloomberg consensus; the subs guide is above it (Zacks via Yahoo, 2026-10-23).
- Targets raised: Guggenheim $650, Rosenblatt $576, Cantor $550; Citizens reiterated $625. Ads grew 9% cc, up from 3% (Benzinga, 2026-10-23 11:18 ET).
- Price at 15:12 ET: +0.22% (o→c −0.28%).
- Factor: SPOT is anti-semis in 2026. Its ρ to SMH by year was 2022 +0.67 → 2026 YTD −0.17, and on SMH ≤ −4% days in 2026 it averaged +2.61% (n 11). About a third of the Oct 22 move is explained by SMH −5.99% (residual z 4.02 → 3.44 with SMH added; my calc; S-046, S-049).
- Day 2 after up reactions (Yahoo, n 10): mean o→c −0.27%. No continuation pattern.
- Data issue: /api/options lists the 10-22 BMO print with reactionSession 10-23 (S-045).

2026-10-30 13:00 update
- FT report (via Reuters, 01:55 ET): AI music-remix service targeted for Q1 2027, possible $4–5/month add-on; licensing with UMG, Merlin, Believe; Sony/Warner still negotiating; Spotify no comment (Investing.com/Reuters, 2026-10-30). Press report, not a company announcement.
- +5.71% at ~13:11 ET, above OR30 high, +0.45% vs VWAP; NFLX (cluster 29) only +0.34%. SMH −7.76%, so the anti-semis factor (avg +2.61% on SMH ≤ −4% days) explains roughly half the move (rough split).
- Label read-through (whiggity, checked): UMG.AS +7.89%, WMG +0.46%, SONY −0.88% on 10-30, so only the signed label was bid. whiggity's Yahoo Tech source is dated 2026-05-22 (earlier UMG covers/remix feature), not today's news. Royalty pass-through to margin is unverified.

2026-10-30 17:00 update
- Final close +6.50%, relVol 1.84, rangePos 0.92 → long_momentum on final data (5:04 PM re-run). It was missing from the official 4:21 PM run, which had a stale close (588.20 vs 593.44). The print was 10-22, so this is not an earnings-reaction pick (S-100 does not apply). After hours: no news found.
- 2026-10-30 17:00: stale postclose run, corrected buckets
2026-11-02 13:00 update
- Day 2 (LM): opened −0.78%, now +1.05% at 13:10 ET, above OR30 high (597.52), +1.01% vs VWAP (Yahoo 5m, unofficial). No new SPOT news found. NFLX (ρ 0.68) +0.93%.
- Shares the LM list with CMCSA (ρ 0.52) and TMUS (ρ 0.32). All three have negative beta60 (SPOT −0.87) and moved together Fri and today, so they behave as one low-beta factor (S-125).
- Replay (my calc, 5y): defensive media/telecom names up ≥3% on QQQ ≤ −2% days → next-day o→c −0.14% mean, +0.06% median (n 16, ex 10-22). No drift edge.
